I have tried to get to know a little bit about the cuisine of the region and perhaps get some taste of it while being in Boston to at least feel a bit as if I was in India. Madhya Pradesh locals have a sweet tooth. Jalebi, made of wheat flour sweet, fried and soaked in sugar syrup, is one of the sweet dishes/ desserts typical for the state.

I was so excited when I managed to find jalebi in the offerings of one of the Indian restaurant in Boston. Unfortunately, they have run out of stock when I tried to order it. I will still try to get it, and if not, perhaps I can make it with the help of Praseeda. Recipe
